Spring Shoe Haul

Unlike other people in my household, I don’t have a ton of shoes.  And yes, I am a woman.  And yes that is gender slamming, I’m sure.

But, even I break down and need a little refresh every once in a while.  Today I’m going to share my little online shopping spree with you.  I have lots or price points (no, there are no red soles in there) and I’ll give you my honest reviews.

I’ll link for convenience, but I am not an affiliate with anyone.  In fact, I still have my Amazon affiliate statement on my blog, but I’m no longer an affiliate with them either.

Sofft Innis Sandals

I am a sucker for red sandals.  This is my second pair.  Which of course means I didn’t really need these, right?  But Sofft is my absolute go-to for curing plantar fasciitis.  Anyone over the age of 40 knows what that is.

I took a picture so you could see the small wedge heel.  I love high heels, but that ship has sailed with my knees.  Darn.  And the chance of my becoming a swim suit models seems to be over too.

Anyway, this small heel is just enough for cute but not too much on my knee.

Sofft is known as a comfort brand with what I’d call a medium price point.  Not only have they literally cured my plantar fasciitis in the past, they come in a wide size which I need.

Honest review:  I just bought another pair in “natural.”

Dr. Scholl’s Nova Slip On Sneaker

Who knew Nordstrom sells Dr. Scholl’s?  Don’t you remember that brand from those hideous wooden sandals we all needed to be super cool in the 70s?  Wearing with our hot pants?

Sneakers are my spring thing this year and I’ve picked up a few inexpensive pairs this year just to wear around the house.  I love how fashion is showing them worn with everything including dresses, so I’m taking advantage of that look.

Are these leopards as cute as it gets?  Sneakers may not be the cutest silhouette in the world, but dang, I love them.

Only $50 and you can never go wrong ordering from Nordstrom with their shipping and return policies.  I will say that I never know how quickly I’m going to receive my Nordstrom shipment, but this arrived in less than a week.

Honest Review:  I haven’t worn these for a long period of time, but so far so good.

Fila White Sneaker

Ok, when I said only $50 for the Nordstrom sneaker, let me now say under $20!  Costco has these Fila sneakers for $18.  Yep, it’s true.  They are not in the wide size I like to order, but they are plenty roomy and very comfy.  I doubt they have the support my aging feet need for a long walk, but I really wanted a pair of white sneakers to wear with some spring outfits and these are cute, comfy and CHEAP.

And yes, I do wear those little socky thingies and no, they aren’t great and usually fall off my heel. I have around 100 pairs of those things and they never live up to their promise.

Honest Review:  Can’t go wrong

Asics Running Shoes

I use running shoes for walking, running and usually hiking.  When my feet start talking to me I use running shoes dedicated to the indoors for my all-day around the house too.

It’s not a look I love, but a good running shoe cannot be beat.  Asics gels are the brand that works best for me.  Especially when I’m using them for actual running.

But for all the lack of fashion, they are not inexpensive.  They do come in a wide size, but Asics are not as wide as they used to be.  And that’s a bummer because a wide toe box is really important for a run.  Or a walk.

I still haven’t found a better shoe that supports my feet, ankles and knees, so I continue to buy them even though they aren’t as perfect as they used to be.

I find all of Asics gels to work the same for me, so I look around to see what’s on sale.  I got this cute heather color for $80.  I’m used to paying around $120, so I consider this a score

Honest Recommendation:  I wished they wouldn’t have screwed with the width, but I won’t wear anything else.

Thanks for coming shopping with me. I’m still praying like crazy around here, so if you need anything let me know. XO
