Fitness Nature

Pray

Often on my walk to the gym or immediately after my workout on the beautiful club patio, I will take a moment to pray.

I’ve shared my special prayer place with you before, but mainly anytime I’m alone in nature, I feel like reaching out to God.

And sometimes God reaches back.

No, I’m not a good prayer – nothing fancy or earth shattering. But I pray faithfully and earnestly. It is a privilege.

Praying may not seem like it’s part of a fitness routine, but it really is part of mine. It’s also a moment to slow down and make the day mine. And God’s.

If praying isn’t a thing for you. Maybe meditate.

Meditation certainly is not my thing.

Failing all else, just breathe.

Take a moment to savor the holiday season. Reflect on the joy and goodness.

If there is anything other than joy, let it go.

And then stretch out your back and let’s get in some cardio!

God bless you and yours.

And let me know if you need a prayer. I’m on it.

  1. I love the picture of the view, maybe from your clubhouse, but seeing the balloons in the sky. Beautiful! Can’t get any closer to god by being present in his creation. 🙏
