Fancy Like

Do you know that popular song by Walker Hays, Fancy Like?  In case you don’t, the lyrics go, “Fancy like Applebees on a date night.”  He’s a simple guy, but when he and his lady are ready for an upgrade, they go fancy like.

I consider myself a simple gal with simple needs, but sometimes, I like to treat myself and today I’m sharing some affordable luxuries that make me feel fancy like.

Things that just make my life a bit better.

A new Louis Vuitton or daily Starbucks?  No, I’m not treating myself that far, but here are some upgrades I’ll recommend.

Aroma Tech Oil Scent

Have you heard about Aroma Tech essential oil for the diffuser and specifically their hotel scents like Santal?

I’ve read all the hype and see they now have added to their best-selling line with “Santal Escape,” “The Hotel,” “Love Affair” and the scent I tried: “White Tea and Thyme.”

The diffuser is now on the console in the entry way and I’m hoping entering my home is a “Crisp, delicate and refreshing” experience.

This is a purchase that, yep, makes me feel fancy like.  Not feeling guilty.

Fine Teas

On Harney and Sons site, it says, “MAKE TEA YOUR EVERYDAY LUXURY.”  Who can argue with that?

Just the sound of Paris or Cherry Blossom immediately takes me to the next level when I’m sipping these teas.  The little sachets are quite an upgrade from regular tea bags too.

I’m sucker trying new teas and I can tell you my beverage cabinet has a pretty impressive selection.

Plush Throw Blanket

Maybe it’s my humble roots, but any package arriving from Nordstrom is an automatic luxury.

This plush throw blanket is not new; I’ve raved about it before, but it certainly makes the grade for fancy and lux.

Oh, and guess what, they’ve reduced the price (I know!).

Eye Gel

Between a lack of sleep and chronic allergies, puffy eyes with dark circles are just part of the landscape of my face.  I no longer even see those things anymore.

Maree Pearl Eye Gel Masks came highly recommended.  They are pretty and sparkly (biodegradable glitter!).  And, they donate a portion of their sales to the ocean clean up foundation.

Wrap Up

I know I’m always amazed at how quickly time passes, but can you believe we are saying goodbye to the first month in 2023 already?  Dang, no wonder I got so old.

Well, let’s talk next time about wonderful plans for February.  I can guarantee I’m thinking fun and friends!

Do you have any fun plans coming up?
