December Skin Care

In case you missed it, I am posting daily in December with a fit challenge.Ā  ā€œFitā€ meaning all aspects of taking care of yourself.Ā Ā  For many reasons, December skin care is really important and no need to lose sight of that during the holidays.

Remember Jessy I mentioned a while back? Who not only started her aesthetician business during the pandemic, but also managed to thrive?Ā  Well, Skin Esteem is going strong and has moved to a new location here locally. Ā For new clients sheā€™s offering a 20% discount for your first service in December at her new location.Ā  If youā€™re interested Iā€™m happy to share her coupon code.

Though youā€™re probably well versed in skin care, Jessy shared a few winter and holiday skin tips to keep top of mind during our December challenge.

  • Exfoliate gently 2 ā€“ 3 times a week.
  • Remove your make up before bed.  Even if youā€™re home late from a party.
  • Wear SPF.  Sunscreen is still necessary this time of year.

Jessy has a lot of great product available for sale – with or without a facial service.

I picked up some serum and a mask. I’ll report back next week how good I look!

Simmer Potpourri

Last year for my own kitchen, I made some holiday potpourri to simmer in my Crockpot.Ā  This year, I gathered up the ingredients, bought some adorable jars at Dollar Tree and put together some cute jars as gifts.Ā  Hereā€™s what I used:

Dehydrated Oranges

A thinly sliced orange went into the counter-top oven on dehydrate mode for two hours and then dried naturally for several days.Ā  If desired, you can roll the slices in sugar before dehydrating for a pretty shine.

Other Ingredients

  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Vanilla pod
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Bay leaves
  • Cloves
  • Fresh cranberries

Printed instructions went on the back of a Christmas label and were tied on with twine and a jingle bell.

Since Iā€™m not a very crafty person, I thought these turned out cute and I would not be embarrassed to gift them.

Wrap Up

I hope your weekend is a good one. I’ll be popping back on tomorrow for a quick challenge post. God bless.
