Don’t worry, I’m not going to lay out any health problems or start a new fitness and health journey on this blog post. Today I’m sharing a few small systems that have made a real difference in day-to-day life in our home.
Pill & Supplement Organization That Actually Works
If you have perused online pill and supplement organizers lately, you will see there are a ton of options. A popular one I’ve seen is a divided jar where everything of one pill is dumped into a section, and so on.
I cannot imagine how that is easy to track. It’s for sure easier to store, but ummm, I might need a little more assistance.
Instead of dozens of bottles on the countertop, hub and I use two options for storing and dispensing our daily pills.
I use a weekly pill organizer with AM/PM sections. That works great for me. The organizer lives in my top vanity drawer. Easy to access and easy to store.

For hub, we filled his travel pill organizer with his daily pills. His pills are small and fit into the compartments nicely.
We literally emptied THREE bottles into one compartment and freed up a lot of drawer and brain space!

Then we used our label maker to keep the pills identified.

Now his daily pills are folded neatly into this organizer and early mornings are easier for it!
And you can see below how very small the organizer is for easy storage and travel.

My New Knee Brace
Finding relief for my deteriorating joints has become quite the journey. I’ll spare you the details, because chances are you may be experiencing struggles of your own.
And if you are, I’m right there with you whispering prayers to heaven for all of us.
This week I was finally able to get an appointment for pain management and found a wonderful doctor who listened to me and made realistic suggestions.
He prescribed a new brace which is as sturdy as my last brace but much smaller and lighter.
It’s very hard to see in this picture against my black tights, but you get the gist of its low profile.
You might also spy the new pink Avias I ordered from the Walmart post. For $25, it’s true love!

Cottage Cheese Keto Bread
You might remember that I requested suggestions from ChatGPT for an eating plan and some recipes to lose a few pounds and to support my health goals.
I haven’t been as diligent as I probably should, but it’s been a realistic plan for me and I’m keeping to it about 70%, while 90% might be my goal.
In any case “Chad” gave me a recipe this week for Cottage Cheese Keto Bread which works great for toast, grilled sammies and to dunk into soup.
I will say the bread is not the best or the worst and I definitely taste the eggs, but it’s quite filling!
Here’s the recipe if you’re interested!
Cottage Cheese Keto Bread

- 1 tbsp psyllium husk (optional)
Instructions

Wrap Up
In keeping with the gentle flow of my life lately, you can see that these small changes are in no way extreme, but have been very helpful.
I hope this motivates you to make one small change this week that supports your energy or mobility or plain ol’ mental health!
As always, my prayers are with you and yours. And if you are in the way of bad weather, I’m sending an extra prayer your way!
P.S. The Christmas cactus Barb gave me 100 years ago is blooming! It lives in the bathroom with all the pills and I couldn’t resist snapping a pic.
