My love for Aldi is not a secret. However, I’ve been doing some Nancy Drew work investigating other shopping secrets. And I’m sharing some today.
So many influencers love Aldi for their center aisle dupes – meaning non-food items. While I cannot attest to how awesome all the items are, I have seen a lot of evidence that they are solid dupes.
And the other shopping secret? Aldi restocks this aisle on Wednesday so that’s the morning to get in there first thing.
Because that aisle gets picked through really quickly.
So, let’s get to it, shall we?
Kitchen
I did make two purchases and I’m happy to share that I’m happy.
Many times I’ve posted about my beloved Rubbermaid food storage containers. But you know what? They are now $27 a set on Amazon.
Aldi has a really nice dupe for $12.99. Similar sizes, exact number of containers and good quality acrylic.
As a little aside, I know everyone is trying to minimize plastic and is using glass or a combination of glass/bamboo. I have both kinds and far and away the acrylic works best for us.
The bamboo has a tendency to warp over time and the glass is heavy. Oh, yeah, and tends to break when I drop it.

Really viral is the cookware from the Crofton brand. Many people compare some of the pieces to the Caraway pans.
I picked up a set of two frying pans – 8″ and 10.5″. The set is $19.99. And? It looks very similar to the Caraway. Which sells on Amazon for $90 and $95 each.
Some people compare the pans to the Greenpan. Their 8″ sells for $24.99.
I’m sure there are many reasons why the other pans are superior, but based on the saucepan we purchased from Aldi several months ago, I’m saying the quality is just fine for us!
In the cleaning aisle, I found Aldi’s version of the Scrub Daddy sponge which sells for $3.88 at Walmart. Aldi’s price is $1.99

One food item I saw featured from an influencer is the Irish Butter. It is indeed imported from Ireland and is supposedly very close to Kerry Gold. Which sells at Walmart for $4.65. Aldi’s price? $3.55.

Skin Care
I am certainly no expert on beauty products, but I was alerted that the Lacura brand Aldi sells are dupes for various high-end products.
Their selection always varies.
On this trip I saw cleansers and some face creams.
The facial cleanser sells for $5.49 for 12 oz. It is said to be a dupe for Glossier Milky which sells for $30 for 6 oz. You can do the math on that.
It gets great reviews!

I picked up a jar of night cream, which I use as day cream, because my skin is so dry.
Again, I have no direct knowledge of this, but I have heard that this particular cream which I purchased for $4.99 is a dupe for Elizabeth Grant which sells for $57 or for Derma E which sells for $19. Either way, the price is good and I’ll let you know what I think after I start using it.
I have no idea if their candles are considered a dupe but the three very large candles I sniffed smelled really nice and were the least expensive I’ve seen in a long while.

Wrap Up
This post is getting long, so I’m going to do a part 2 next week featuring their Easter items. It’s worth taking a look at, but this is enough shopping for one day, right?
My friend, I am so grateful for you. Thank you for joining me today.
