This might be the most potpourri-y post I’ve written yet! It’s truly just a little bit of this and that I’ve been up to and what is going on.
Thanks for stopping by and here we go.
Shopping
I made (more than) a couple purchases this month and got such wonderful personalized service, I couldn’t to share with you.
Many times I’ve mentioned Lather and the products I love so much. Their store is just not in a handy place for me to get to though.
No problem! Call the store (even if you don’t live in Arizona!) and they will ship you an order with no shipping charge.
When I called the store, Wendy answered. She has worked there as long as I can remember. So nice and quick. I got my order packed beautifully and with a handwritten card.

A stash of blank note cards on hand is a must in my house. It seems like there is always an occasion that needs a note. And making a trip to purchase one never seems to be convenient.
So placing an online order has worked well for me. From Etsy, I found Garden Note Cards from Susan’s Pressed Flowers. She is a perfect five-star seller and she deserves the ranking. Oh, and she wrote me a handwritten note.
Do you see the pattern here. I’m just a sucker for such sweetness.

What I’m Reading
It’s been so long since I’ve updated my reading list. One big reason is because I’ve been a bit under-whelmed in the reading department.
But I can report on what I’ve read and listened to on audio.
We Solve Murders by Richard Osman is a fun romp of a read, but not nearly as fun as his Thursday Murder Club series. If you are looking for lighthearted murder (oxymoron intended) this book is worth it.
Before She Disappeared by Lisa Gardner is #1 in a new series featuring Frankie Elkin. I don’t want to give too much away, but this is a totally different take on a mystery.
Prime Suspect by Lynda LaPlante on audio is also #1 in a series, but a much older book. This features a female chief inspector, Jane Tennison. Since it’s older, the book deals with sexism in addition to the mystery. I’m going to give it a so-so.
The Waiting by Michael Connelly on audio is a Ballard/Bosch novel. Harry Bosch is almost non-existent in this one. I’ve loved Connelly, but it seems like he might be done for me. Does AI write some of these older authors’ stuff?
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt is for sure the remarkably bright story lately. My sister Monique recommended it and I’m passing that recommendation right along! This book will leave you feeling good.
I’ve read a few more, but I don’t want to lose you here. I’ll update more later.
Zumba
If you’re local and you love to strut your stuff, my adorable Cassandra has been teaching Zumba on Saturdays at 9:00 at the Ironwood club.
She’s an awesome instructor and you’ll be sure to get your cardio up during the month of June!

Anthem Health & Wellness
This month’s meeting promises to be a big one! Deb has scored a speaker I’ve heard so much about, Dr. Heather Teobald from world-renowned Barrow Brain & Spine. The topic is A Dive Into Nerve Pain.
Dr. Teobald will be speaking Tuesday, June 17th at noon at the Anthem Civic Center.
As always, this event is no charge, but registration is appreciated.

Wrap Up
So many snowbirds leave Arizona before some of the most beautiful cactus blossoms appear. June sees the saguaros bloom with their beautiful white flowers way up high.
Many of the prickly pear cacti have pretty yellow or red flowers right now.

A couple of surprise rain storms brought out even more blooms. Everything looks fresh and clean. And the bees seem very happy!
Thanks for joining and God bless for a good week ahead.
