These are purchases I’ve made and genuinely love:

- Better Homes & Gardens Decorative Hyacinth Hurricane Pillar Candle Holder – This gives me major Pottery Barn vibes. It looks gorgeous on our patio and adds so much texture. $14.97
- Beautiful 21-Ounce Tritan Swirl Texture Sipper Tumbler with Lid and Straw by Drew Barrymore – These have become my favorite summer cups. They’re actually made of durable acrylic, so they’re perfect for iced tea by the pool or keeping water on my nightstand without worrying about broken glass. Or any curious kitties stopping by for a midnight sip 😉. $7.94 set of 2
These caught my eye during a recent Walmart trip:
While wandering the aisles recently, I spotted several pieces that immediately reminded me of much higher-end retailers like Anthropologie, Crate & Barrel, and Pottery Barn—but at a fraction of the price. These are definitely worth a second look if you’re decorating on a budget.
Better Homes & Gardens Cotton Fringe Runner – similar to Pottery Barn’s Mason Runner (about $70 less)
- Better Homes & Gardens Natural Fiber Placemats – reminiscent of Pottery Barn’s Alpaca placemats (around $8 less per placemat)
Better Homes & Gardens Diamond Gauze Queen Quilt – very similar to Pottery Barn’s Cloud Quilt (over $100 less)
Better Homes & Gardens Domed Sipper Icon Cups – remind me of the popular Anthropologie cups that are no longer available
Better Homes & Gardens Faux Leather Reversible Placemats – similar in style to options from Crate & Barrel
A couple of things that keep Walmart from being perfect…
In my humble opinion, Walmart has two things working against it.
First, the stores can be difficult to shop. The merchandising often feels cluttered, and it’s easy to walk right past some genuinely great finds. Because of that, I rarely enjoy shopping there in person.
Second, their website isn’t the easiest to navigate. Unless I already have a direct link, I sometimes struggle to find products I know they carry.
On the flip side, Walmart offers fast, free shipping on qualifying orders, and I’ve been consistently impressed with the quality of collections and brands like Better Homes & Gardens, My Texas House, Beautiful by Drew Barrymore, and The Pioneer Woman.
Sometimes you just have to dig a little to uncover the hidden gems.
