TJ Maxx Spring Shopping

Wow!

That is all I have to say about my local TJ Maxx – wow!

Shopping at TJ Maxx can be less than relaxing with hoards of shoppers, messy shelves and sifting through one-of-a-kind products.

But on my recent TJ Maxx spring shopping trip I was impressed by the store. There were tons of associates, the shelves were not only stocked, they were arranged attractively and they had some cute things that ended up coming home with me!

Take a walk through the store with me and let’s take a peek.

Self Care Products

Korean skin care products are so popular right now and my store had lots and lots of products highlighted.

I noticed a lot of “healthy” type products too like fluoride-free toothpaste and other almost homeopathic items. I didn’t delve into any research, but I’m sure their prices on these things might be competitive.

The shelves were divided by type of product, i.e. soaps, lotion, shampoo, etc. and then by color. There was a green shelf, a pink shelf and so on.

TJ Maxx hasn’t been that put together in a long, long time.

Jewelry

I didn’t spend much time in the jewelry section, but the jewelry locked in glass cases looked like pretty things people might actually want to wear.

There were several different bracelets and necklaces with the vintage Van Cleef and Arpels Alhambra motif that is so popular once again.

I’ve seen a lot of influencers showcasing this design from Amazon and they are best sellers.

Side note: I remember this jewelry as game show prizes back in the early 70s when I was a kid watching daytime TV. Now that’s what I call vintage!

Linens

Towels, sheets, bedding were all stocked nicely and arranged by color.

The brands were some of the same I’ve seen at Macy’s such as Calvin Klein and Tahari.

There was one queen quilt set in an almost chambray color I’ve been looking for. I picked it up for the bottom of my bed to give our room a little pop of color.

It turned out to be a bit masculine, but you-know-who likes it. He thinks paisley is a flower design, so it’s right up his alley.

I’ll share that purchase another time.

I know throw pillows much be a pain to try to keep organized, but the day I went they looked really nice and you could actually see what was there.

Table Wear

With Easter right around the corner there were the cutest dishes, towels and serve ware with bunnies and chicks.

I am all about Peter Rabbit and I could not help salivating over the sweet dishes.

No, I didn’t buy any; however, the polka dot Kate Spade wine glasses?

Can you see the oh-so subtle dots on these glasses?

It turns out I’m not drinking wine right now nor do I need any wine glasses.

But a sweet associate helped me open the box and gauge the thickness of the rim which is a deciding factor in my drinking pleasure.

And well. The white wine glasses ended up in my cart. What can I say?

Outdoor

I’m not sure that the outdoor items are always the best price, but the very popular battery-operated touch lamps I saw come in two different finishes and ARE a good price.

I have seen similar lamps used on outdoor tables and in small home spaces where a little mood lighting is appreciated and a cord is not convenient.

UV resistant faux plants are my thing. I really am trying to wean myself off indoor faux, but outdoors in the summer on our patio is either no color and half dead or faux.

Last year I foxed up with faux. I added UV resistant small flowering bushes into my planters to keep the patio looking colorful and cutting down on any care.

Even with our punishing sun and heat, they held up all summer and fall. I’ll be replacing them this season.

It so depressing to have gorgeous geraniums croak when June hits so this was a good option for me.

I got a couple plants from TJ and ordered a bit more from Amazon. I’ll do a faux post soon. By which I mean a real post about fake flowers.

Anthem Health & Wellness Club

In other news for locals, Deb announced her upcoming event at noon next Wednesday, March 26th at the Anthem Civic Building featuring Dr. Luke Shillig. Luke is a local chiropractor and gave a really good talk at a meeting last year.

This year’s topic is Reversing Diabetes. As always the meeting is no charge, but registration is appreciated.

Wrap Up

Thanks for shopping with me today! I hope you enjoyed the improved experience at TJ Maxx. The sweet lady in housewares asked me to complete the online survey since I was so impressed with the store.

I did it and am expecting to win the $500 sweepstakes any time now.

Have a nice weekend and as always, God bless you and yours.
