Early Spring Refresh

Okay, I’m pretty sure January is not considered spring in anyone’s encyclopedia.  As in, it is the dead of winter.  But my mood badly needed an early spring refresh.

I would not call this a redecorate, but I added a few cheerful touches that put me right in the spring mindset.

Come along and let me know what you think!

Pottery Barn Pillow Covers

First of all, PB had a really nice sale on their pillow covers. With free shipping.

And they are gorgeous IMHO.  Typically I feel their items are pretty expensive for anything trendy, but I purchased pillow covers from them about 7 years ago and they all look as good as the day I got them.

Truly worth the money.

I am not an affiliate, but I linked the pillows I bought in case you cannot live without them like I could not.

The Eddie Reversible is the springiest of the pillows I got.  The florals are so pretty.  There is a simple stripe on the back side, but I cannot imagine wanting to use that side.

Paired with the Eddie is an older cream colored lumbar pillow and Tonaya navy pillow cover.

My second favorite pillow cover is the very large Auburn Paisley.  The red and blues are perfect for any season.  I used an old denim PB pillow from years ago on one side and the Abel lumbar on the other side.

The Abel reversible does have a really pretty reverse side, but the blue design looks the best.

All of these pillows have a neutral vibe but I think add color and warmth that are much needed this time of year.

Costco Live Plants

I might have mentioned a couple weeks ago that I bought a trio of live plants from Costco.  Simple white pots and saucers from Amazon are what I ended up potting them in.  They are so pretty I can’t believe it.  If I can keep them alive, I’m going to transition my large faux plants to real.

So far, I have an English ivy on the living room coffee table, another on the family room coffee table and one on the kitchen counter.

If I were a proper blogger instead of a lazy one, I would look up the names of the other two plants, but there you go.

Anthem Health & Wellness Club

For locals, Deb’s next meeting is noon on Thursday, January 30th at the Anthem Civic building.  The speaker is Bonnie Crutcher and her topic is “Clearing Toxic Chaos.”

As always, the event is no charge, but registration is appreciated.

Naughty Roxy

This is way beyond the pale (whatever that expression means), but Evon stopped by the other evening and when I came out of the other room, I found Roxy.  Ummm, lounging on Evon’s very expensive leather jacket.

Now, please. What kind of friend does not shoo their cat off, but rather snaps a pic?  It’s like naughty is the new cute.  I know.  I’m awful.  Evon, please forgive me.

Wrap Up

I think this time of year is more the organizing, decluttering time of year.  Which leads right into the spring cleaning time of year.  Yikes.

Are you on it yet?  Anything to share to help motivate us?  I think I’m still in the “click it to order it” mode.

Thank you for being here this week and God bless you and yours.
