Pinterest Worthy Birthday Party

Our dear friend Gail had a big birthday party over the weekend and we were lucky enough to be invited.

Her beloved family members threw a Pinterest worthy birthday party none of us will ever forget.

You might remember our dear friend Gail from our big Death Valley trip last year. The same gang celebrated on home turf and it was so good to see everyone.

Angie and Lynn and their family hosted the shindig which was appetizers, salad bar and pool party.

Jann and Ali came from Reno and Beth came from Washington.

So besides me just talking about partying, what I really want to do is share all the ideas for a fun event.

Warning: In no way did this look like an easy thing to pull together. Nor did it look easy to clean up.

Here are some of the fun details celebrating Gail’s birthday.

Photo Booth

Balloons and streamers in rose gold made up a large photo booth. The birthday girl received a rose gold tiara and Miss America sash so it all tied together.

Since it was a pool party, most people had on a suit and a cover up. Not a ballgown in sight.

Individual Appetizer Cups

I know assembling these gorgeous yummies had to be time consuming and a lot of work. But they turned out so cute and were delish.

There were two choices – a sweet cup with fruit and Jordan almonds. The savory cup included meat, cheese, a tiny breadstick, pickles and olives.

They got an amazing amount of food into these cups and they were so good.

Gail loves French fries so there were several kinds of fries and dunking options.

Salad Bar

Another of Gail’s favorite things is salad so Angie, her daughter and nephew presented the mother of all salad bars.

There was every vegetable you can imagine, meats and eggs for protein, toppings and dressings.

I could have hung around there and eaten all night long.

Pool Time

Angie and Lynn’s beautiful back yard overlook the mountains on the south side of town.

The pool was the perfect temperature so we all took a dip, played a little pool pong (like beer pong, but on a floatie) and listened to a fun playlist.

The green floatie is the pong game. It was fun and I think Gail and I tied. Don’t worry, we didn’t take a sip for every shot. We are kind of lightweights.

Wrap Up

Thank you for coming along with me as we celebrated a dear person’s birthday. And it was so good to see everyone else.

You know, Jann and I are birthday twins. We are both born on the 12th of the month in the same year.

Last week really was a fun one and now I need to figure out how to do that all over again.

Just kidding. I would be way too tired to do that every week.
