A Few New Finds for Summer at Home

Memorial Day weekend is here and many of us — meaning not those of us in Arizona! — are gently transitioning into summer.

It’s also a time to reflect upon the holiday itself and pay tribute to our fallen military personnel.

We’ll be enjoying a long weekend at home, so I thought I would share a few recent purchases while embracing the slower pace I’ve been trying to cultivate lately.

Note: I am not an affiliate of any store, but I will link items for convenience.

Summer Style Finds

Evon helped me find these chambray drawstring pants from J Crew Factory and they are exactly what I was looking for. They’re lightweight and comfortable for summer days when I don’t necessarily want to wear shorts.

My patriotic tee with a flag made of oars is now available in a sweatshirt version which is super cute.

And these COMFY Sofft Capri sandals from Dillard’s may very well become my go-to summer dress shoe.Cozy Outdoor Additions

Cozy Outdoor Additions

While our pergola project is complete, we still have a couple more backyard projects underway and hope to have everything tidied up soon.

In the meantime, I found this fashionable scalloped-edge umbrella at Walmart for a great price and couldn’t be happier It provides just the right amount of added privacy near the hot tub area while also making the space feel extra cozy.

I also settled on this glass koi birdbath from Home Depot with a solar fountain feature.  It’s so pretty, but so far I haven’t attracted any bird customers.

Small Kitchen Touches

Well…

Since I have to spend time in the kitchen — not exactly my favorite place — I might as well add a few cheerful touches, right?

This cordless lamp!  So small and charming and cozy on the countertop. I think I now have three (maybe actually four?) different cordless lamps.  This is apparently a habit I need to keep tabs on because how many do I need?!

The mango wood tray is such a pretty, warm touch to the kitchen as well. It’s the perfect size for corralling larger items like the paper towel holder along with a colorful bouquet from Hobby Lobby.

Wrap Up

Do you have plans over the holiday weekend?

We’re taking things nice and slow and simply enjoying what we already have.

Thank you for joining me today, and may God bless you and yours.
