Fun Activities

So many times I have asked in this blog, what are you up to? Any fun activities we need to know about?

And, it looks like many of you are having some great times.

And for those of you who shared pictures, we all thank you very kindly.

Here are some of the fun things we’ve all been up to.

Napa Valley

For my friends here who might not be familiar, did you know that wine country in California is basically a day trip from Reno?

Well, maybe with the way traffic is now, it might be impossible to visit in a day. But when we lived there, it was such a treat to take day trips to that beautiful part of the world.

Reno friend Chris’s hub surprised her (I think for her birthday) with Andrea Bocelli tickets at the Krug Winery. I looked it up, and he’ll be back in June if you want to plan ahead!

Nature

No matter the weather, it sounds like many of you are hitting the trails or the beach as frequently as you can.

Julie lives two blocks from the ocean in Oregon and loves her adopted state.

Look at her adorable and happy face.

The beautiful pic at the top is from one of her beach walks.

Gathering

You know my girls: Chris, Gail, Jann and Beth. Beth lives in Oregon and Gail lives in Phoenix, but they gather every year for Super Bowl. No matter who is playing. In Reno.

Good friends and family who keep precious traditions are specially blessed, don’t you think?

This picture cracks me up because they are wearing Seahawks outfits. The Seahawks were nowhere near the SB. And they have Mardi Gras beads. They are posing in front of a Clydesdale horse. Hmmm. I think I’m going to need a little more information.

In any case, I know they had a great time.

Theater

Chris also sent a pic of her and Jann seeing Wicked at their local theater. We love to see Broadway plays too and are hoping to get out and catch Phantom (again!) next month.

Fitness

I was so happy to have made it to Cassandra’s Zumba class Monday night. She is a great teacher and I’m a horrible participant. I just cannot get Zumba for some strange reason.

However! Old-fashioned step class. Uh huh, I can do that class like nobody’s business.

Lisette started a step class at our gym a few months ago and I love it. It got off to a really slow start, but the class has gotten full the past few weeks.

The key to a great step class experience is the instructor’s cuing. And Lisette is perfect. You’ll find me there every Friday!

Wrap Up

Many thanks to my friends who have taken time to let me know what they are doing and have even sent pics.

I love being able to keep in touch and it brings me great joy to see smiles on your faces while you enjoy so many fun activities.

Have a wonderful weekend and as always, God bless.
