With lots of gunk going around this time of year, I like to keep my immune system strong. In the hopes of that, there are supplements I’ve found that may or may not help. This is a good time to evaluate your supplements.
Check with Your Doctor
Each year, I go over medications and supplements with my doctor and we tweak everything at that time. To keep myself straight, I bring a notebook to the appointment and write everything down.
Because she’s a smart cookie, she also enters everything into my record. So when I call and say, “Ummm, what kind of magnesium am I supposed to take?” The office knows the answer and I take the correct supplement.
Consider a Nutritionist
Recently, I posted about our consultation with Andi Coffee. We literally put all of our supplements on the dining room table and she went through them. She had recommendations for additions and deletions and seasonal dosages.
Awesome service.
Make it Convenient
Supplement bottles tend to be huge and my medicine cabinet would be overflowing if I stowed them in there.
Instead, I bought a storage bin for all my supplements and keep them corralled in the linen closet.
For my daily pills, I found weekly travel pill organizers and I load them up for 8 days.
These organizers are great. They take up a small space in the medicine cabinet, and if we’re traveling, they lock securely and take up very little room in my bag.
Wrap Up
Praying you are enjoying a healthy and happy holiday season!
